Joe has been active in the Taipei metal scene for the past four years as the vocalist for the death metal band Revilement and a show promoter for Taiwanese and overseas acts. He is also an editor and freelance music journalist for Music In magazine in Taiwan, and has been privileged to interview some of the biggest names in underground metal today. Joe's favorite bands include: Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Immolation, Incantation, Six Feet Under, Mayhem, Toxic Holocaust, Slayer, Exodus, Dying Fetus, Mastodon, Obscura, Suffocation, Morbid Angel and many more.

I got involved in the metal scene here three years ago because of the local band “Revilement”. I was not really a metal head in the beginning, but I've been attracted to metal ever since. I found that the metal scene in Taiwan is like a special, small family , in which everybody supports each other’s dreams. I’m always moved by seeing the weird metal dudes hanging out in the live houses of Taipei trying to show the other local bands how much they love their music, and that’s why I work for TaipeiMetal.com; to help more people know about Taiwanese metal scene.
